Bring me whatever “out there” ideas you have — as well as your most pressing needs.
You want me to interview clients all over the city, state, nation or world and write up their inspiring success stories to be used online, in grant applications or annual reports? Done. You want boots on the ground, witnessing and telling stories of the amazing work you’re doing? You got it. You want me to interview your founders for a living history of your organization, write an article on the latest buzzword for your membership, or ghostwrite blog articles for a thought leader? Will do.
Now, let’s circle back: How can I help?
What I Do
WRITING
My specialty is long-form content: articles, website copy, blogs, guides, brochures, bios, organizational histories, press releases ... Pretty much anything where we're talking about word count rather than the number of characters. It's the rich, compelling, informative, inspiring (or entertaining) copy that keeps people coming back.
EDITING
I take what you've written and shape it. Remove the typos, provide a better word choice, fix any grammatical errors, massage a turn of phrase — all while maintaining your unique voice. I also ask the questions your audience will be looking for answers to, ensuring your piece is everything it can (and should) be.

I approach every client relationship with equal parts creativity, strategy, talent and enthusiasm. I am passionate about helping people share their gifts with the world, manifested through services, products, advocacy, and public service.
From a very young age, I knew writing was to be a definitive part of my life. Encouraged by my amazing third-grade teacher, writing became my favorite part of any class, all the way through graduate school.
When I earned my first “real” (i.e., full-time) writing job, working for MSHC Partners as senior writer during the 2006 election cycle, I was over the moon. I was invited back for the 2007 election cycle as their sole copywriter and went on from there to create a solid freelancing career, working for political campaigns, professional associations, a labor union, corporations and small businesses, nonprofits, and the U.S. Department of the Navy. I love the freelance life — the variety of clients; new challenges; new perspectives; flexible schedule; and my yellow Lab, Maggie, and tuxedo cat, Max, as my coworkers.
In every job I’ve held, whether the focus of the job was writing or not, my gift would be discovered and utilized, creating within me a knowledge of and affinity for writing in any voice — and for any industry. I have the experience and talent, as well as a deep, essential caring for my clients’ success.
